He's just not that into you...

"Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up: if a boy punches you he likes you, never try to trim your own bangs, and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. every movie we see, every story we're told implores us to wait for it: the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. but sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. how to tell the ones who want us from the ones who don't, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. and maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. maybe the happy ending is just moving on. or maybe the happy ending is this: knowing after all the unreturned phone calls and broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment... you never gave up hope."

oh please...

Summer.

I rather it not end.

It went by too fast.

Wish it could last a lot longer.

Boating, sliding rock, soccer, reading books, sleep overs, hiking, dance parties, star gazing, campfires, playing with my nephew, late night movies.

It will all end soon.

Yesterday

I feel like yesterday is a day worth blogging about.

I woke up to go to work, and while I was getting ready I got a text from Jeffery's phone (he is on his mission)...it read: Elder Liechty is calling today between now and 1:00. He wants all his friends to be there.

I was soooo excited! I texted my supervisor at work and asked if I could go in late...of course she said yes! It was so fun to hear Jeffery's voice. I sure do miss that kid.

Work was super slow, so I got read a ton in my book. Then at 6:00 a crazy wind storm began and everyone left Raging Waters by 6:30...talk about luck! I got to leave by 6:50.

I then went to my soccer game in Lindon. I arrived a little early so I called Hilary Collins! Loved talking to her.

My game went well and we won. As I was leaving I noticed a missed phone call from B Town Stomp (Bryan Brown)....so I quickly called her back....she was on her way with Ashley Guyman and Tyler Standifird to come watch my game! Even though they missed it I feel like they were there the whole time.

Then we played Speed in Jeremy Welch's backyard. After that we watched Music and Lyrics. I forgot how much I love that movie. The humor of "Alex Flutcher" is hilarious! I pretty much love the song, "Way back into love," and will probably buy it on itunes today.

Well as you can see....yesterday was amazing and I am getting kinda sad that summer is coming to end....wish it could last forever.

Oh yes....my good friend Lauren White (soon to be Lauren Hansen) got engaged yesterday as well! Dang that August 5, 2009 is going to be a hard day to top!

Parade in that!

Oh this is worth blogging.

Yesterday I was in a parade.

Yep.

Here are some pictures.

My Single Ward's Relief Society decided to participate in the Highland Parade. It was quite a memory I will not soon forget.

Time is flying

I just realized how lame of a blog I am starting to get. I haven't really updated it much. Today I am at work...and I am bored. So here I am updating this little blog of mine.

This summer has probably been the best summer I have ever had. In the past I have kinda had disappointing summers, however this one has been anything but a disappointment to me. I have gained a lot of new friendships, I have learned a lot about myself and I have actually for once loved my job.

The new friends I have made have been amazing...nothing more to say.

I have had a lot of friends leave on missions. I have been sad, but I am also just so proud of all them for committing to serve the Lord for 2 years. When each of them have left I have asked myself why was I going to miss them...I got a billion plus one answers to that question. Mostly its because I get attached and each person in my life really has a huge influence on me, and when they are out of my daily I sincerely miss them.

Well I don't really know what the point of this post is...I guess its just to have a post up.
