One Week Down 7 to Go...

And I'm exhausted already!

This is how my days went this week
Wake up around 8:30 am
School (MWF): 2 classes (each 2 hrs long....) 10am-2:00 pm
Work: TTH: 10-6, MWF: 2:30-6

Basically my days end at 6, but after that I have TONS of reading...and I'm just so tired. This may not seem that bad to people, but all my professors have me scared about how doing a semester long classes in about 8 weeks is pretty intense....Why am I taking classes???

So conclusion of the week to keep Stacy happy and not sooo exhausted...drum roll....

She's going to DISNEYLAND. Oh wait...no that is my parents and older siblings and their kids....

I just decided to drop a class, so now I just have to worry about Physical Science and work.

I'm just looking forward to June 15 when I take my final and my REAL summer begins!!

summer plans

For the first time in my life I will not be living at my parents house this summer. As I was falling asleep last night in my new apartment with 3 strangers...I got a little homesick.

My mom keeps asking if I think I made the right choice...and in my head I say, "Heck Yes." As much as I love my family and Highland...I really enjoy living on my own.

Change is always brings new things, so I'm excited for this summer and the "new things" in my future.

Until the end of June you will find me studying, at classes or at work...but after that you'll find me on a lake (and work too). Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can live outside again.

Side note:
Dear Summer 2011,

This could be a fun summer...just do your part by bringing beautiful weather...thanks!

Oh the world today...

http://www.cnn.com/2011/OPINION/04/19/granderson.children.dress/index.html

Read it and weep a little...childhood is being destroyed, I think I rather be called the Peter-Pan generation (not wanting to grow up) then this next generation...what will they call them? Adults in little bodies? Growing up too fast generation?

Goodness me...childhood should be celebrated and prolonged til at the very least high school.

One year older

Another year came and went...

21--seems old, but yet so so young.

My brother put it best about this year for me, "Hardest year of your life...but you grew the most and made the best out of it."

Lots happened my 21st year of my life--some good, some bad, some ugly--but all worth it. I'm becoming the person I want to become. It is a journey, and I'm embracing each step.

So here is to a new year in the life of Stacy Scott!

"Accept who you are; and revel in it."

Recipe of Happiness

Smile.
Laugh as often as you can.
Treat yourself to dessert here and there.
Don't be afraid to sing in the car (with or without people in it).
Be grateful for the weather (just find something about you like about it each day).
Have a good play list on your ipod.
Have good friends that will say silly things to you.
Make memories that you can look back on and be happy about.
Always dance like no one is watching.
Make children laugh and giggle.
Play soccer (or do some active activity).
Pray to God morning and night and every minute in between.
Learn to love the scriptures.
Don't procrastinate.
Take naps.
Don't get worked up over little mistakes people make.
Let past relationships go ("You must say good-bye to the wrong guy, to say hello to the right guy").
Look for heroes in you life you can always look up to.
Write in a journal.
Look back on past entries of your journal.
Cry when you want to.
Give meaningful compliments to people.
Tell the people you love that you love them often.
Be confident with the skin your in (no matter what the size, you are beautiful).
Learn about things you love to learn about.
Forgive people quickly, and let it go.
Be obsessed about life.
Be in love with who you are.

A great friend of mine the other day told me that she could tell I was happy. She had seen me at low points of my life, and she had noticed a difference. I am grateful that I am happy. It was a goal of mine I've been working on since a tragedy in my life came about. After my friend told me the difference she saw I began to ponder about what things I did in my life to make me happy...and this is the list I came up with. No, I am not perfect at everyone of them, but I have all them in mind and am working to be good at each of these. Life is good. It is meant to be enjoyed, even when you feel like you're just "enduring." Well keep enduring, and while your at it--live, laugh and love.

End of the semester

Not like anyone is missing my posts...but its the end of the semester and if I'm on the computer it is to work on a paper(s).

Gotta love the end of the semester...

The end is in site and I feel like sprinting the whole way there!

Wish me luck!
