Fantastic Weekend

I have had a fantastic weekend and want to blog about it to the world.

Friday--Captain American with Spencer and Bradley, Jeffrey came home :)
Saturday--Boating with friends, Winnie the Pooh with the Ne-Kids, iHope with Highland 11th friends
Sunday--Jeffrey's world record for longest homecoming talk, dinner with the family, Pie n' Beer day at the Ortons
Monday (was a Holiday in Utah)--Played volleyball, listened to music with Jeffrey, surprise party for Grandpa Hayes, Pirates 4 with Max

See! It was fantastic. Full of family, fun and friends!

I don't want summer to end. It is almost August which means Summer will get married, I have to go back to school and boating season will come to an end.

Coming home FRIDAY

The one who introduced me and convinced me to start a blog...

The one who introduced me to 2 of my favorite bands...

The one who you could call my musical soul mate...

The one who would read the same books as me and we would talk for hours on end about them...

The one who made me want to be more like myself around everyone...

Jeffery Liechty. Its been too long! 2 years...a lot has happened. We have a lot to catch up on. Welcome home FRIDAY!

"Uh Red Light"

So sometimes little things can add up...and so can big things add up!

My Grandpa Hayes' cancer is not looking so good. Its called mantle cell lymphoma, and it not curable. Someone told me today that we should be grateful for those who come and go into our lives...I think if people were always around forever we'd forget how much they mean to us. I still want him around forever, and I know he will be...just not forever in this mortal life. I love my Grandpa. I am so grateful for his amazing example of what a man should be and act like. The future is unknown, but I know this for sure: Family Matters Most.

My sister-in-law Monica is pregnant with her fourth at the moment. She has Placenta Previa, meaning she'll be on bed rest the rest of her pregnancy. It is more scary for her then the baby, she just has to get the baby big enough to deliver. We are all on board to help her with the kids. It'll be a great opportunity to serve her. She is an amazing mother, and I know it will be hard for her to have people help her, but that is what family is about.

Both these close people in my life need extra prayers their way. Sometimes my mind feels on overload and I run through red lights, but sometimes I feel at peace and know all will work out.  Please keep my dear family members in your prayers.

Dam Lake (aka Lake Powell)

Explanation of title: Lake Powell is created by a dam. We went to a restaurant called the "Dam Bar & Grill." My family got a kick out of swearing about the "dam food," "dam fries", "dam drink." It was the most my family has ever sworn...so I felt it appropriate to name this blog post: Dam Lake.

On the way there we drove up this really pretty mountain pass and we saw the backside of Zion National park. I thought it was cool...so we took a picture. We also ran into this little village called, "Duck Creek Village." I'm going back. It was so cute.

Tubing is always a favorite of mine :)
So Lake Powell was full of a lot of different things. Each morning I'd wake up to the bright sun(we had a house boat my grandparents rented). From there it was like 80-100 degrees outside. It was hot! The water was perfect. We only had one really windy day, but the rest were awesome.

We had both my Dad's brothers families with us.

We took a long boat ride one day to go to Cathedral Canyon and Rainbow Bridge. Both were amazing!

Cathedral Canyon was this narrow passageway

The rocks on either side were like 1,000 feet up! It was so cool to drive through

Largest natural bridge in the WORLD!

I love Lake Powell! I could spend the whole summer there! I have actually thought about getting a job there next summer...we'll see! But living on a lake for a week...ya that is a fantastic way to live your life!

P.S.

Just found this and am loving it (maybe cheesy, but its the mood I'm in)...

a guy out there was meant to be the love of your life.
your best friend. your soul mate.
the one you can tell your dreams to.

he'll brush the hair out of your eyes.
send you flowers when you least expect it.
he'll stare at you during the movies. even thought he paid $8 to see it.
he'll call to say goodnight or just cause he is missing you.

he'll look in your eyes and tell you.
"you're the most beautiful girl in the world"

and for the first time in your life. you'll believe it.

-Nicholas Sparks

Also, lately I just have been wishing for a real date. For a boy to call me, ask me, pick me up and pay for me. I think it'd be fun. That's all.

Been lazy/busy

Don't worry I'll have a post up soon enough about Lake Powell. I just got back Saturday night and haven't had the time! I will eventually get some pics and stories up, don't fret!
